Setting National Standards
The LDCA sets national standards for the contractors, manufacturers and suppliers who undertake to comply with recognised standards of workmanship and materials.

Member Services
The LDCA provides a range of services to its members, including:
- technical help
- information on business topics and industry
- legislative development
- the opportunity for members to meet at technical events and social activities, exchange information and discuss matters of common interest with others in the industry
- representation on a number of government and other official bodies
Technical Information & Guidelines
Technical Specifications for Field Drainage, Pipeline Reinstatement, and Sportsturf Drainage which provide guidelines for standards of installation which LDCA Members work to.
The Guidelines are recognised by the major sporting organisations including Sport England and the Football Foundation as the standard to which sportsturf drainage should be installed.
