Operating from our base in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Sweeting Bros Ltd are specialist land and sportsturf drainage contractors with over 35 years industry experience.

Established in 1968 primarily as land drainage contractors, the company has grown to encompass all aspects of water management.

From the design and installation of agricultural, pipeline and sportsturf drainage systems to reservoir and pond construction to watercourse maintenance to the installation of irrigation and sewage treatment systems to the hire of our specialist fleet of plant, Sweeting Bros Ltd have the experience, expertise and resources to operate in the many diverse aspects of the industry.

Products and Services

Watercourse Maintenance

The maintenance of dykes and watercourses is fundamental in ensuring the effectiveness of any drainage system. Using a variety of specialist equipment and a skilled and experienced workforce Sweeting Bros Ltd maintain and upgrade the dykes and watercourses for a number of drainage boards, local authorities and land owners.

• Piling

  The installation of plastic or timber piles is essential to maintain the stability of the banks of many watercourses.

• De-silting, weed cutting and re-grading

  Using a range of specialist machinery and implements we are able to carry out these tasks efficiently and economically whilst having a low environmental impact on the surrounding area.

• Watercourse construction

  Purpose made vee buckets and laser levelling are used to construct new watercourses.

Sweeting Bros Ltd own a wide range of plant machinery which is operated by our skilled and experienced work force. All our plant machinery is available for hire on short or long term contracts either self drive or with a CITB trained operator.

Sportsturf Drainage Contractors

Coupling our extensive knowledge in the design and installation of piped drainage schemes and investment in a dedicated fleet of sportsturf machinery Sweeting Bros Ltd are able to carry out contracts in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Mastenbroek trenching machines fitted with laser grading technology and a 'sports kit' which enables spoils arising to be collected in an adjacent trailer via a conveyer belt are used to cut a trench and lay drainage pipe in one continuous action.

All dedicated sports turf machinery is fitted with low ground pressure tyres or tracks.

From initial contact with the client through site surveying and the design and installation of the drainage scheme to the drawing of final plans, Sweeting Bros Ltd can offer a complete service from start to finish of the contract.
