The boat was presented to the UK at a demonstration in Oundle, giving potential users the opportunity to see it in action and have a go themselves.

To begin with, the experts from ACE, demonstrated the ease with which the boat carried out weed cutting using the small ‘T cutter’ bar attachment.  Then some of the guests including Craig Hewitt from the EA and Bob Spendlove from Bedford IDB had a go.

Cutting complete it was then onto attaching the lifting rake with tines of 2.5m.  The hydraulic arms controlling the rake proved perfectly able for the collection and depositing of the piles of weed that had been cut.

Malcolm Owers, Environment Agency, "I 'was impressed with the speed and ease of changing from a cutter to a lifter'"

Andy Carrott, Witham 4th IDB,  “the demonstration presented an ideal opportunity to see the Berky perform in a real world situation. It was soon apparent that the Berky was a very capable machine, with a high work rate, and easy to learn with a well thought design and of high-build quality.”
